Aqua View   is a large, modern home near the bay, with a heated private pool. The beach is an easy walk down Laika Lane, and the Captiva Village Center with restaurants and shops is only a block away. The huge upper-level screened lanai wraps across the east side of the house: enjoy fresh breezes and views out over the bay. This is a great place from which to watch sunrises, ospreys, and boats.

This modern abode sits high among the trees of the tropical jungle, especially the majestic banyon in back. It is open to the sunshine on the south and east sides. The spacious great room has a cathedral ceiling and an open floor plan. Two sets of sliding glass doors open from the great room onto the screened lanai, as do two more sliding doors from the master and queen bedrooms.

The Aqua View kitchen is fully equipped and has a microwave and a dishwasher as well as a breakfast bar. The free WIFI even works at the pool. There are 3 flatpanel HDTVs including a large screen in the great room with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.

Guest Full Bathroom

There are three bedrooms (with king, queen and twin beds) and two baths upstairs. The king and queen bedrooms have sliding doors opening onto the large bay-facing screen porch... sip your morning coffee while enjoying great sunrises, or relax in the afternoon shade and watch boats sail past.

Aqua View has been extensively redecorated (Fall 2010). All of the rooms are bright and clean, and designer-furnished. The master bedroom and queen guest bedroom have cable TVs. If you need more sleeping space, there is the large downstairs suite (see below).

On the ground level at Aqua View is a large multipurpose room with comfortable wall-to-wall carpet. This can be used as a gathering room, break-out space for young people, entertainment area (with refrigerator and HDTV with HD cable service), or for meetings. The downstairs at Aqua View also makes a wonderful guest quarters: simply flip down the queen-size murphy bed. In addition there's a futon bed and a large sofa.

This is ideal easy-access space for those who wish to avoid up and down stairs. The full bathroom includes an oversize walk-in shower. A sliding glass door opens onto the pool patio (right). At the other end, French doors opens onto the pad at the base of the staircase to the main house.

Aqua View features this great custom swimming pool. Completely private for you, the angular pool is well suited for both recreation and exercise. Note the pool screen enclosure has been removed and replaced by a wooden fence. There is room for swimming, sunning, ping pong, and other games at the same time!

Wildlife

An osprey (left) enjoys its fresh catch on Aqua View grounds. The snowy egret (right) waits on the ground below for any scraps the osprey might drop. Don't be surprised to see a variety of exotic birds wandering through the yard.
