Captiva House   This magnificent five-bedroom home represents the best in modern construction (2001). It's an ideal vacation destination for up to 10 people. Captiva House is close to the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico beach, and with its location in the Village Center you can walk to everything you need, including a variety of restaurants, unique shops, and fun activities.

Your private heated pool and in-ground spa tub await (top). Warmed water from the spa pours into the main pool through a small waterfall. The pool and the second floor deck are surrounded by a large screen enclosure (right), while the third floor deck and fourth floor captain's walk are open. The main entrance (above) includes a tile driveway surrounded by fantastic trees and landscaping.

Private Pool and Spa

Spacious Captiva House is carefully designed and furnished to provide for all your needs (and more). An elevator carries you between levels, from the garage and pool level (right) to the upper floor with the master suites. Up on the roof is a captain's walk (below) for sunning, catching the sunrise in your bathrobe, enjoying sunset with a cocktail, or just enjoying a nice sea breeze and the view of Captiva's treetops. This is one of the highest points on Captiva, and not for those uncomfortable with heights.

The grounds on the east side of Captiva House are quite amazing: mature tropical trees, manicured foliage, and flowering plants. On the sunny west side is a private, heated pool (above right). Decks on three levels (plus the poolside patio) face west to take advantage of the afternoon Florida sunshine and breezes.

When you enter Captiva House through the main entrance, you step from tropical gardens into this lovely entrance foyer (above left). Beyond is the living room with its premium furnishings, large-screen HDTV, and one of the two fireplaces (the other being in the grand Master Bedroom Suite. Ceiling fans are installed throughout the home. The elevator has three stops: ground level (and garage), main level, and upper level.

The kitchen (below) is modern and perfectly equipped. Ample counter space makes it ideal for feeding a house full of hungry guests. The breakfast bar seats five (right). The main dining table (below right) has six chairs and enjoys a bay-window facing north. Open the French doors onto the main level deck overlooking the pool, where another table offers the option of outdoor dining. The gas grill is down a flight of stairs on the poolside patio.
