	Island Girl Expanded Interior

Here at the end of Captiva's beautiful, private and quiet Laika Lane (no public access), only a few neighbors will stroll up the sandy lane to the beach. Whispering pines and majestic palms shade The Island Girl and the newly landscaped grounds. Nature seems at ease with mankind as osprey play overhead, herons supervise fishing on the beach, and troops of spoonbills wander through the yard into the vast undeveloped tract behind the house. Island Girl's location in the Captiva Village area is a big plus: you can easily stroll the short distance to anything you need including world class restaurants, well stocked stores, unique shops and vacation activites.

World-Famous Beach

Captiva Island is widely regarded as having one of the best beaches in the world. Island Girl is so very special as a vacation beach home because it's so close to the beach (one house in from beachfront, about 100 feet). The convenience is especially nice if you like to pop in and out from the beach for drinks or snacks, maybe sunblock or your camera to photograph the dolphins at sunset. Beach activities include swimming in the warm water and gentle swells of the Gulf of Mexico, soaking up the south Florida sunshine, walking the sugar sands of the coastline, fishing, and watching the wildlife. Feel free to collect the beautiful shells on the beach - another reason Captiva Island is famous.

Livingroom	Dining Area	Family Room

The Island Girl interior is spacious and comfortable. New premium furnishings, carefully selected to complement the design of the home, give each room a unique and charming character. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their privacy, and to come together and enjoy company in the common areas. The family room (left) opens onto the screened patio, sun deck and pool area. The modern, clean kitchen (right) has new appliances and furnishings, plus a convenient layout, making activities in this kitchen a breeze.

Here is the first of the two master bedroom suites, the "upstairs" suite. Each master suite has a king-size bed, TV, VCR and full private bath. This suite overlooks the pool area as well as the front grounds.

The second master bedroom suite also enjoys a full private bath. This suite has an additional second entrance from the exterior front deck.

T W I N   B E D R O O M S

These two bedrooms are furnished with two twin beds each, for a total occupancy of up to eight persons. The bedroom on the left has a private half bath.

Outdoors at The Island Girl

While the interior of The Island Girl is exquisite, the great outdoors is what draws visitors to Captiva Island and its natural beauty. The Island Girl features a heated, private pool and spa hot tub, plus landscaped grounds with flowers and tropical folliage. Just beyond is the Gulf of Mexico beach. The advantages of being this close to beachfront will be obvious, and you'll be glad you stayed here! And Captiva holds many other attractions such as fishing and boating in the sound, tennis and golf, plus great shops and restaurants.

Heated Private Pool

This romantic pool is all yours for a week or more of relaxation at The Island Girl. A seahorse tile mosaic (right) decorates the pool bottom, while artistic tile creations line the pool with its attached, in-ground spa hot tub. A gentle waterfall of warm water flows from the hot tub into the main pool.

The screen enclosure surrounds a furnished patio (chairs, table, lounges) where you can enjoy the sun and the pool without the intrusion of insects. Have a poolside barbeque with the deluxe gas grill. There are entrances to the pool and patio from the family room, livingroom, and carport. Behind The Island Girl is a huge tract of undeveloped tropical forest, which affords exceptional levels of peace and quiet. It's hard to think of a nicer place to spend a relaxing vacation!

Though our guests have been know to say, "The Island Girl is the perfect vacation home," we've made her even better with a major renovation. From now on, our guests will enjoy a completely updated interior and exterior:
