Here are a sampling of the many, many pools.
Most if not all are heated, so while they feel cool and refreshing on a hot day,
they also invite a night swim under the canopy of stars -- surrounded by the calm of the sleeping tropical forest.
Some houses have private pools, others share a pool with neighbors.
Unlike hotel pools, these never seem to get too crowded.
Many have adjoining whirlpool spa tubs, some with warm waterfalls gently cascading into the main pool.
What a life!
When you're not in the pool or on the beach, there is plenty to occupy your time on Captiva.
