Stafford On The Beach   is best described as a beachfront chalet... a truly grand house in its own totally-unique style. Best of all, it's right on the Gulf of Mexico beach! The Stafford has a beautiful new private heated pool (new 2009, dimensions 10 x 36 feet), located on the beach side of the house.

With its location in the Village Center you can walk to everything you need. But you don't have to walk far to the beach, you're already there! And just two houses down the beach is the world-famous Mucky Duck restaurant with its beachfront cocktail patio. What a treat! The great room at Stafford On The Beach has 20-foot high cathedral ceilings and massive, solid woodwork throughout. In fact, the floors are thick, solid wood (no joists) layed directly on heavy beams. If you enjoy openness and the beach, you'll be so happy at this chalet!

After watching sunset on the beach, relax in the outdoor Hot Spring 6-adult spa hot tub (premium model, new 2011). You set the temperature. Yes, it does get hot, and it feels great, especially with the pleasant ocean breezes after dark! The deluxe spa has rich-colored fiber optic lighting with many configurations including slowly changing colors. Even the delightful internal water feature has its own lighting. You can use the spa even in the rain, since it's sheltered under the house.

Then let the cool Gulf breezes and rhythmic sigh of the surf lull you to sleep at night. (The Stafford does have two-zone central air conditioning, just in case.) There are three bedrooms, plus a pull-out sleep sofa in the den area. The master bedroom suite has a nice beach view (see photo below). There is a digital home theatre entertainment center and free wireless broadband Internet.

A great screened porch on the beach front of Stafford overlooks the native tropical plantings and the beach, with plenty of room for entertaining, relaxing, or dining. Steps lead down from the porch and out onto the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico beach, making a quick dip in the ocean so easy! Beach items (chairs, floats, etc.), are provided (look in the beach shed). Downstairs includes a car port, laundry room, and large protected area bordering the pool and housing the Hot Spring spa tub, chairs and tables, and counter-topped cabinets with sink. Plenty of room here for a big family get-together. The Stafford is surrounded by more than an acre of mature trees and tropical landscaping: what a lovely home site.

Technology and Entertainment

The Stafford is well set up for carrying on business while you're at the beach. The free, unlimited broadband Internet has strong wireless which covers the pool and may even reach the beach, and there are cordless phones with digital answer system. The wireless internet even works on the beach, if you're so inclined. Most cell carriers provide a good signal from the nearby tower (in South Seas Resort).

When work is over, the entertainment center offers a large (32-inch CRT) television with cable and six-speaker surround sound. The 5-disc DVD changer sounds and looks great, with Dolby Digital and DTS decoders and component video. There is also a VHS VCR plus CD / AM / FM. The master bedroom has a flatscreen cable TV with DVD, and the other bedrooms have either cable TV or sound system. Equipment is subject to change and not guaranteed to be available, of course. Stafford has a great room with 20-foot ceiling and glass wall overlooking the beach. Newly-upholstered wicker furniture complements the refinished solid-wood floors throughout the house. The fully-equipped kitchen is bright and cheery and has been newly remodeled. Enjoy the spacious screened porch overlooking the beach - a great place for cocktails, watching sunset, dining, or retreating from the midday sun with a book and a breeze. It includes a comfortable sitting area and a full-size dining table.

Stafford has three lovely bedrooms. The master suite directly overlooks the beach from the southwest corner of the house. It has an en-suite master bathroom with dual-sink vanity, beautiful corner tub and a walk-in shower. Both guest bedrooms have built-in drawers and a closet, and they connect through a small "cruise ship" half-bath with sliding pocket doors.
